11:45 a.m.

Indulge your taste buds without undoing your healthy morning at Sababa Mediterranean Grill (6280 E. Broad St.). The sleek and cheery fast-casual restaurant (think Middle Eastern Chipotle) serves up spice-laden goodness in the form of bowls, pitas, mezzes and more. Protein options like grilled Greek chicken, a bevy of fresh veggie toppings, and to-die-for house-made rice and dressings make this fresh and nutrient-packed lunch somehow still feel like a guilty pleasure.

1 p.m.

Walk off that extra helping of pita bread with an ambling day hike through Blacklick Woods Metropark (6975 E. Livingston Ave.). Don't forget your camera - you'll find yourself among 643 acres of picture-perfect prairie fields, swampland and woods. Even first-time birdwatchers can ably spot the occasional owl, heron or hawk along the trails.

5 p.m.

If you're going to tear yourself away from so much pastoral peace, you'll need incentive, like the good drinks and good company at Prost Beer & Wine Cafe (7354 E. Main St.), which opened last year in the heart of the increasingly charming and more walkable Old Reynoldsburg portion of the suburb's downtown. Prost's sprawling craft beer and wine selection is one of the East Side's best, and a draft happy hour generously lingers until 7 p.m., so you can nosh and sip (on the beautiful patio, if weather allows) without watching the clock.

6:15 p.m.

Now that you've sampled so many of Reynoldsburg's newest treats, cross Main Street to pay homage to a Reynoldsburg institution and eat dinner at Vick's Gourmet Pizza (7333 E. Main St.). Grab one of the few tables in this old-school joint, which has been family-owned in the same location since 1961, and enjoy stepping back into the type of great family pizza joint you remember from your childhood but scarcely find these days. The pizza is tasty, but you wouldn't be foolish to opt for the huge calzones. It's not fancy or artisan. It's just really good.

7:30 p.m.

After dinner, head back across Main Street and up a few blocks to Carnival Ice Cream (7524 E. Main St.), a family-owned joint where you can split a scoop with a side of - get ready for it - funnel cake fries.

8 p.m.

If the delicious carb onslaught hasn't finished you off, there's no better way to end a fall day than with a hot-air balloon ride courtesy of Balloon Masters (7644 N. Oakbrook Dr.). It's seasonal and appointment-based, so you'll need to call ahead for available timeslots. Bundle up, head toward the clouds and see if you can spot all the places you visited!
