Ohio State takes on Michigan this Saturday, Nov. 26, a rivalry game that tends to bring out the most hater-ific aspects in both fan bases. (On the Buckeye end, see: "Muck Fichigan" sweatshirts, the university taping over the letter "M" campus-wide and the entirety of the Dead Schembechlers catalog). With that in mind, we thought we'd take a look at some aspects of Michigan that are actually worth celebrating.

Cadieux Cafe

This old-school Detroit watering hole features a great beer list heavy on Belgians, tasty food (try the mussels) and, of course, feather bowling. The bar includes two concave clay lanes where teams compete to land cheese wheel-shaped wooden discs closest to a feather stuck on the opposite end. Also, the portraits of "famed" feather bowlers lining the walls belong in a museum.

Short's Brewing

The lauded Michigan brewer, based in Bellaire, started distributing to Ohio this year, which has been a boon to local hop heads.

The Stooges

From 1969 to 1973, the Ann Arbor-export was arguably the most powerful force in rock 'n' roll, turning out a trio of all-time classic albums (The Stooges, Fun House and Raw Power) while doling out live shows that bordered on riots. Considering how 2016 has gone to this point, can someone keep Iggy Pop rolled up in bubble wrap until New Year's?

Stevie Wonder

The Michigan-born singer, songwriter and arranger is a true national icon.

Traverse City

This picturesque waterfront oasis is a fantastic summertime getaway, complete with great restaurants and world-class breweries like Jolly Pumpkin, which remains a go-to for sour-beer lovers.

Battle Creek

If you've enjoyed Rice Krispies or Frosted Flakes at any point in your life, you owe partial thanks to Battle Creek, aka "Cereal City," early home of the Kellogg Company.

Serena Williams

Quite possibly the greatest female athlete of all time, and a Michigan native to boot.

Eminem's "Renegade" verse

The Detroit rapper's guest turn on the Jay-Z track caused Nas to remark, "And Eminem murdered you on your own shit" on his diss track "Ether." He's not wrong, either.

Coney dogs

Forget Chicago dogs; aside from a plain dog slathered in stadium mustard and eaten at a ballpark (one of the best American food experiences in existence, fwiw), the ideal way to eat a doggie is covered in chili at either one of two adjacent Detroit institutions: American and Lafayette. Pro tip: Coney dogs taste even better eaten late night with a belly full of booze.

Wolverines football

Just kidding. Our generosity only extends so far. Go Bucks.
