Snow Day's Danielle Miller on local coffee shops, the '90s and more

Danielle Miller recently found her passion for planning events. One such event, Snow Day, is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Genoa Park. It's a free, family-friendly event featuring a huge snowball fight (with fake snow, of course, thanks to Ohio weather), giant bowling, food, craft beer, crafts, music, vendors and more.

Here are a few things Miller loves at the moment.

Event planning and marketing

I recently left my 9-to-5 to join my husband at Matchbox LTD. I love working with him on marketing and the event side of our business. We have Snow Day coming up and are already working on 2x2 Fest, which will return for its third year this July.

Local coffee shops

I cannot function without my daily coffee. I like going into local coffee spots. My recent obsession has been Fox in the Snow. The coffee is amazing and the vibes in there are always positive.

Life as an entrepreneur

As I mentioned I recently joined my husband, Josh Miller, full time at Matchbox LTD. It is now the two of us. I am beyond excited for this next step in my life. When you are working for yourself the possibilities are endless.

The '90s

I feel like I will always be stuck in the 90's. I still watch re-runs of that era's TV shows, and movies from that decade are my favorite. I also enjoyed music in the '90s so much. I just feel like life was more simple and technology did not rule the world as much as it does now.

Because our 8-year-old son is a b-boy, we are starting to travel a lot more. He is in a kids' break-dancing crew, and they are all about traveling and bringing home the wins. I love to go to new places and see the community and culture there. Since I now have more freedom with my new career, I am hoping to get to travel more this next year.
