Group exhibition features food-inspired works of art

Food, glorious food.

The artists of Open Door Studio & Gallery offer up a tasty exhibition this summer with “All You Can Eat,” a collection of work inspired, in many different ways, by food.

“The concept was pitched to the artists by asking them what their favorite food was. Some couldn't decide, so they chose to go a different route with still lifes. The studio has been abuzz with food talk as they all have had so much fun chatting about their favorite foods,” said Tim Cook, art facilitator at Open Door, a combination studio/gallery space that serves artists with disabilities and encourages them to discover a unique artistic voice.

Cook said trips to restaurants and other food-related spots including the North Market and The Butcher and Grocer helped inspire some of the work.

About 40 Open Door artists are participating in this show, which will remain on view through July 28.
