Gallery presents work by top contemporary painters, ceramicists
Brooklyn-based painter Angela Heisch was featured in a noteworthy show at No Place Gallery last year. Gallery director James McDevitt-Stredney invited Heisch to co-curate a show featuring skilled painters and ceramic artists from Chicago, New York and France. The resulting exhibit, “Western Decoy,” opens at No Place on Friday, July 14.
“It's a phenomenal show — some of the best in contemporary painting right now,” McDevitt-Stredney said, adding that the exhibition focuses on artists “whose work deals with a range of objectification and abstract formalism.”
Work from, among others, Amie Cunat and Allison Reimus will be on display.
