The St. James Tavern in Italian Village is closed temporarily after a small electrical fire. A fundraiser titled Total Eclipse is being held to raise funds for the tavern on Monday, Aug. 21 at Seventh Son Brewing right down the road.

A&R Creative's newest concept, TRISM, holds its grand opening on Friday, Aug. 18. TRISM is a combined fast-casual eatery, bar and event space. The eatery is located at 1636 N. High St., former site of Eddie George's Grille 27.

Clintonville burger tavern Pat & Gracie's announced it will open a second location Downtown at 340 E. Gay St. in the coming months.

The Columbus Food Truck Festival takes place this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and 19 along the Downtown riverfront. Over 50 trucks will be featured alongside live music, crafts and drink vendors.

The Grass Skirt Tiki Room hosts two pop-up Southern Nights dinners with restaurateur Manny Castillo on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 17 and 18. The event is a partial preview of a forthcoming restaurant concept called Shenandoah Tavern.

A new burger and beer spot called Half Pint, from the owners of The Pint Room, is slated to open at 415 N. Front St. in the Arena District.

MODA restaurant and bar is now open at 3100 Olentangy River Rd.

The first Gin and Vodka Festival takes place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 4-10 p.m. Over 100 types of gin and vodka will be available for sampling.
