New collective debuts its first exhibition
Founded to break down barriers, new collective the Black Infinity is presenting its premiere exhibition, “The Beginning of Never Ending,” at No Place Gallery during December.
Founder Tosha Stimage hopes that by presenting work that might not otherwise be shown, the Black Infinity will also strengthen the overall arts community in Columbus.
“Now more than ever we need to be creating spaces that are positive and inclusive,” Stimage said. “The Black Infinity is addressing three things: how to fix what's broken, how to acknowledge marginalized communities and how to consider new perspectives that are not necessarily my own.”
Local artists featured in “The Beginning of Never Ending” include Dionne Lee, Tyler Davis and Cameron Granger. The show closes with a reception on Saturday, Dec. 23, although it will continue to be up at the gallery until Dec. 29.
