Legendary gunk punks return for one-off show

Usually a Columbus Turks show means the boys are in town for a wedding, birthday party or holiday. Easter, maybe? Regardless, another New Bomb Turks show is always welcome. The band came to define Columbus punk in the '90s, walking that Spinal Tap fine line between stupid and clever for a punk scene that was frequently neither. The Turks played nice with a burgeoning, albeit low-budget international movement that Turks frontman Eric Davidson later pegged “the gunk punk undergut,” which, along with the Turks, made all of those sweaty, drunken nights at Stache's and Bernie's such a riot. The Monsieurs and Ipps open. (Safe bet)
