The 9th Annual Columbus Winter Beerfest takes place 7-11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The event features hundreds of craft beers on tap, food trucks and more. Early admission tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door; regular admission tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. Proceeds benefit Animal Rescue Partners. Last week, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants announced the first two “chef partners” selected to join its newest concept, Budd Dairy Food Hall in Italian Village. The vendors are Borgata Pizza Cafe, owned by Ed Bisconti and Horacio “Roz” Auddino, and Darista, owned by Columbus Monthly 2017 Tastemaker Dara Schwartz. Borgata, known for its New York-style pizzas and scratch-made Italian dishes,currently operates two locations in Central Ohio. Meanwhile, Schwartz's company, Darista Dips, has gained a loyal following for its hummus dips, which can be found in more than 70 retail locations. More vendors will be announced soon, and the food hall is expected to open later this year.
A cocktail lounge and nightclub called Duecento IV opened last week at 200 E. Fourth St. in Italian Village.
Condado Tacos is expected to open this month at 102 N. High St. in Dublin's Bridge Park West. This will be Central Ohio's sixth location of the local chain, which is known for its customizable tacos and artwork-filled dining rooms.
The “active lifestyle restaurant” CoreLife Eatery will open its third Central Ohio location at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, near the Ohio State campus at 17 E. Lane Ave. in the Wilson Place development. The national chain offers a variety of salads, grain bowls and broth-based dishes.
