Cartoon Crossroads Columbus' keynote event will feature Mignola and Jeff Smith at the Wex on Sept. 27
Each year Cartoon Crossroads seems to bring bigger and bigger names in the independent comics world to Columbus, and this year is no exception. On Friday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m., Hellboy creator Mike Mignola will join Bone creator (and CXC artistic director) Jeff Smith in conversation at the Wexner Center's Film/Video Theater. Tickets are free and can be reserved starting tomorrow (Thursday, Aug. 1) at 10 a.m. at wexarts.org (limit of three tickets per reservation).
Later that day, CXC will welcome author Dav Pilkey, creator of the wildly popular Captain Underpants series, which has over 80 million copies in print, and Dog Man, with more than 23 million copies in print. The Wex will also host Pilkey, this time at 7:30 p.m. in Mershon Auditorium, and up to four free tickets may be reserved at a time beginning tomorrow.
