In which we rank the week's new releases based on the quality of their trailers (plus a bonus look at the new 'Joker' film)
#1 "Ready or Not"
The trailer still makes this look like such bloody fun, which, according to Brad Keefe's review, it is.
#2 "Don't Let Go" (NEW IN THEATERS)
There's a compelling aspect of time travel to this horror-thriller, as though "Back to the Future" existed in the Wes Craven universe.
#3 "The Peanut Butter Falcon"
Brad Keefe has good things to say about this new indie.
#4 "Good Boys"
"Good Boys," mediocre film. (Read Brad Keefe's review here.)
#5 "Killerman" (NEW IN THEATERS)
Sure, Liam Hemsworth looks great (that, objectively, is one good-looking man), but the movie looks like butt, giving off kind of a "Regarding Henry" meets "Training Day" vibe, but worse.
#6 "Bennett's War" (NEW IN THEATERS)
Yes, the soldier loses his leg in the field of battle, but would you believe that Bennett's real war takes place after he gets back home? Mind, blown.
*BONUS TRAILER* "Joker" (alternate title: "4chan")
