Jeni's Strawberry Jam, a picnic-style party celebrating Ohio's strawberry season, takes place Sunday, May 26, in Franklinton. The free event features live music, Jeni's Strawberry Buttermilk ice cream, fresh strawberries from Hirsch Fruit Farm, a Jeni's/Land-Grant collaboration beer, kids' activities and more. The Pearl Market kicks off its season Friday, May 24, in Downtown Columbus. The community market featuring fruit, veggies, baked goods, coffee and moretakes place 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays through Oct. 11 at Pearl Alley and Gay Street. Visit pearlmarket.org for a list of vendors.

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants' M at Miranova (2 Miranova Pl.) celebrates 18 years in operation this July. To mark the anniversary, M will close for remodeling after dinner service on Saturday, May 25, and reopen on June 18 with a refreshed look and several new dishes.

Columbus Craft Beer Week continues through Saturday, May 25. Some of the events rounding out the week include the Sierra Nevada Crawfish Boil at Bob's Bar on Friday (benefiting Mid-Ohio Foodbank), a Saturday jazz brunch at Daily Growler German Village featuring food from Short & Stout Kitchen and an unofficial closing party at BrewDog's DogTap Columbus on Saturday. Youngstown-based Whistle & Keg, a self-service craft beer taproom, announced plans to open this summer at 343 N. Front St., formerly Dick's Last Resort in the Arena District. The 2,500-square-foot taproom in the Moline Plow building will offer guests the chance to pour their own beer, cider, wine and mead from 50 taps. Customers can bring in their own food or have it delivered.

The Cocktails at the Conservatory series returns to Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens (1777 E. Broad St.) on Thursday, May 23. The 21-and-over monthly event features a rotating cast of local distilleries, breweries and wineries, plus access to exhibits, food and musical entertainment.
