The Old North eatery made the announcement on Facebook today

The New American restaurant Trillium Kitchen & Patio announced on social media today that it will close permanently at 2333 N. High St., the address that was previously home to Alana’s Food & Wine. The Old North restaurant’s last day of business will be Saturday, Aug. 31. Chef Bradley Balch, the former head chef at The Sycamore, and general manager Michael Kulikowski opened the restaurant in July 2017, and it was named a Best New Restaurant by Columbus Monthly in 2018. Balch is known for his farm-to-table approach, with Trillium counting Swainway Urban Farm, Laurel Valley Creamery and Covey Rise Farms among its Ohio purveyors.

Here’s the full announcement from Trillium’s Facebook account:

We are sad to announce that as of September 1st, 2019, Trillium Kitchen & Patio will be permanently closed.

It was an honor and a privilege to take over the well-known space that once was @alanasfoodandwine, and to serve the Columbus community great food, wine, and craft cocktails. We at Trillium are incredibly grateful for our two-year run, and are sad to see our time come to an end. Thank you to the entire Columbus community, our friends and family, and all of our local purveyors for your constant support.

Join us for dinner one last time before we lock our doors for good. We will be open our regularly scheduled hours both today (8/29) and tomorrow (8/30), and will be opening early on Saturday (8/31) - join us as early as 3 p.m. for drinks at the bar; kitchen will open at 4 p.m.
