Goodale Station, the restaurant and lounge atop the new Canopy by Hilton Columbus Downtown-Short North, opens Thursday, Oct. 17, at 77 E. Nationwide Blvd. Located on the hotel’s 12th floor, the north-facing rooftop spot features views of the Short North and Goodale Park. Overseeing the Southern-inspired menu is executive chef Tripp Mauldin, an Alabama native and graduate of Johnson & Wales University’s culinary school in Colorado.
Junior’s Bar & Grill has replaced Hamptons on King at 234 King Ave. in the University District. The new Mexican restaurant is from the owners of Junior’s Tacos, which runs a pair of popular taco trucks in the Columbus area.
Grove City’s Dragon Donuts is bringing its made-to-order doughnuts to Grandview. The second location of Dragon Donuts is under construction at 1288 W. Fifth Ave., next to Mark Pi’s Express.
The new Broad Street location of Roosevelt Coffeehouse (462 W. Broad St.) has reopened after a car crashed into its storefront. The coffee shop is part of the Gravity development in Franklinton. According to the Dispatch, only one person was injured.
SheCreature Cocktails has announced a few dates for its tiki pop-up at Ace of Cups. The cocktail pop-up will take place noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19; 6 p.m.-midnight Thursday, Oct. 31, and noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at 2619 N. High St. SheCreature Cocktails is the creation of Carmen Owens, a co-owner of the now-closed Grass Skirt Tiki Room.
