RH Columbus, Restoration Hardware’s 60,000-square-foot, three-level retail space opens this week at Easton Town Center, and the new concept includes two swanky spaces for dining and drinking. According to a press release, the year-round RH Rooftop Restaurant & Park will feature, a “skylit garden escape offering a timeless, ingredient-driven menu beneath a soaring atrium with retractable glass walls, sparkling crystal chandeliers and trellised London plane trees.” The restaurant opens onto a landscaped park. In addition, visitors can enjoy espresso, wine and pastries from the Wine & Barista Bar. RH has opened similar rooftop restaurants in Manhattan, West Palm Beach and Minneapolis. The grand opening ceremony for RH Columbus, The Gallery takes place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 4120 Worth Ave.
Columbus State Community College’s new restaurant, Degrees, will open to the public on Tuesday, Jan 21. The professionally managed, student-staffed restaurant is part of the college’s culinary arts program. Degrees, which will have a liquor license, will serve lunch and dinner on weekdays while school is in session.
Grove City’s Dragon Donuts (2806 London Groveport Rd.) is expanding to Easton’s new north end development. The locally owned shop, which also has a Grandview location in the works, specializes in made-to-order cake doughnuts. The Grandview shop at 1288 W. Fifth Ave. is expected to open by the end of January, and the Easton spot is targeting a mid- to late-2020 debut.
The District PourHouse (1568 N. High St.) closes Friday, Dec. 13, in the Gateway - University District after a little more than a year.
NYC Bagel and Sandwich Shop at 2245 W. Dublin-Granville Rd. in Linworth has closed.
