Brioso Coffee moved from its longtime Gay Street location into a renovated space just across the street at 53 N. High St. in The Citizens building. The new shop opened on Dec. 23.
The veteran-owned bar Eugene’s Canteen closed this week at 765 N. High St. in the Short North. A statement on social media said the business would be “evolving” under new management, and that Eugene’s owner, Justin Boehme, will be stepping down from day-to-day operations.
A new food truck called Tibetan Momo launched recently, serving Tibetan-style dumplings. Central Ohio’s fourth Aladdin’s Eatery is now open at 9711 Sawmill Parkway near Powell.
After more than 30 years in business, Iacono’s Pizza & Restaurant closed permanently on Dec. 21 at 5068 Cemetery Road in Hilliard. The restaurant's Kenny Road and Powell pizzerias remain open.
The popular plant-based restaurant Village Taco shut its doors in Alexandria last month but will reopen this year on Parsons Avenue. Stay tuned.
Local Cantina opened its first location outside of the Columbus area last week. The new Tex-Mex eatery is in downtown Dayton on East First Street in the Water Street development.
