The mother-daughter duo Elena Birukow and Lana Moynihan have opened Café Elena for carryout and delivery until Ohio’s dine-in ban is lifted. The new café at 2054 Crown Plaza Dr. in Northwest Columbus (formerly Skyline Chili) offers baked goods, breakfast and lunch with an international twist. Menu items range from Dutch baby pancakes and Russian buckwheat porridge to teriyaki salmon grain bowls and burgers. Order online for pickup or delivery at cafeelenas.com. Worthington’s Old Bag of Nails Pub (663 N. High St.) has reopened for carryout, featuring $10 fish and chips baskets. Order by calling ahead at 614-436-5552. Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. Several other Central Ohio locations remain open for takeout, including those in Bexley, Hilliard, Pickerington, Upper Arlington and Westerville.
Also in Worthington, Sassafras Bakery (657 High St.) returns to serving baked goods and breakfast items from its pickup window starting Thursday, April 30.
