Do you like a good yard sale? Well mark your calendar for Sept. 1 and 2 for Charlestown’s community-wide yard sales. Multiple sales will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a wide variety of items for sale. There is still time to sign up to have a sale.
Register your sale by Aug. 27 by calling 330-297-7573 or email email@example.com. Your address will be advertised in the Record-Courier along with other township participants and a map noting the location of the sales will be available at most addresses at no cost to you. So clean out your closets and garages and join in to make a little extra cash.

Michelle DeRemer recently celebrated a milestone birthday at a surprise party planned by her husband. Al. About 50 people gathered at the Akron Zoo to celebrate with her. The whole family got involved. Their oldest son, Brandon, helped get her to the zoo by inviting Al and Michelle to go with him and the grandkids for a fun afternoon. Daughter Breanne and Al spent the day before preparing all the delicious food. Then Breanne and youngest son, Brady, set up the party room at the zoo. In the meantime, the guests were able to enjoy the zoo before and after the surprise. It was a fun and unique party that I was lucky to attend.
Proud parents Evan and Sherry Griffith travelled to San Antonio, Texas, recently to attend the graduation of their son, Zachary, from U.S. Air Force basic training. Zach is a 2017 graduate of Southeast High School. The entire community is proud of you and thanks you for your service.
