Red Haw UMC having chili cook off

A community chili cook-off will be held at Red Haw United Methodist Church, 1101 County Road 175 on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Prizes will be given for: Overall Best, Spiciest, Most Unique, and Meatiest. Individuals wishing to enter must register to compete by calling 419-869-7812 there is $5 per entry cost and you must be 18 or older.

Men’s prayer breakfast offered

A men’s prayer breakfast will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 a.m. at the Olivesburg United Methodist Church, 4748 State Route 545.

Starting their 19th year, Arden Fitch will be the guest speaker.

Men of all ages are welcome for breakfast and fellowship.

Spiritual retreat available March 13-15

A free spiritual Retreat with Pastor Mark Stevens at The Loudonville Church of the Nazarene will be offered March 13-15.

Friday night, March 13 will start with a simple pizza supper at 6:30 p.m. Saturday morning, March 14 will start with a donut breakfast at 8 a.m. And Sunday morning, March 15 will begin during regular worship time at 10:45 a.m.

All are invited and encouraged to bring friends and family with them to all three of the worship services.

Sonshine Band to perform in Mansfield

The Sonshine Band will be performing at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1592 Grace St., Mansfield, at 6 p.m. Sunday March 22. The concert is free and open to the public. The band will be performing some new material including Gospel, Country and some just plain fun songs as well as some old favorites. Members of the Sonshine Band are Thom Richards, Brian Payne, Wayne Magee and Gary Baumberger.
