During this crisis driven by fear and uncertainty, our neighbors are still performing extraordinary selfless acts to help unite, heal and improve our community.
They are our Everyday Heroes.
Maybe it’s a neighbor getting groceries for an elderly couple or medical professionals putting their health and lives at risk. Or a volunteer organizing a fund drive to aid folks in need.
It is time to honor them.

They will be recognized in Everyday Heroes magazine--distributed in the Columbus Dispatch in September—and at an awards luncheon sponsored by the Columbus Foundation, United Way of Central Ohio, CME Federal Credit Union, AEP and COSI, which will host the event Oct. 6.
One finalist will receive a $10,000 donation from the Columbus Foundation for a charity of his or her choice and the other semifinalists will evenly split $30,000 worth of in-kind advertising from the Dispatch, This Week and Dispatch Magazines for that cause.
