LOUDONVILLE — Ashland Symphony Orchestra (ASO) returns to Loudonville’s Historic Ohio Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. The concert is made possible through the efforts of the Loudonville Theatre and Arts Committee. Presale tickets are available at the Ohio Theatre Box Office and online at www.theohiotheatre.com. All tickets are reserved seating only. Tickets for adults are $10 and students and children are free.
The ASO’s 44-piece orchestra will be conducted by guest conductor Raphael Jimenez is director of orchestras and associate professor of conducting at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
The performance also will feature guest flutist Lisa Jelle, a professor of flute at Capital University.
This year’s concert is titled "Autumn Gold." Select pieces include Suite No. 2 by Johann Sebastian Bach, two pieces by Gioachino Rossini, and a piece by Franz Joseph Haydn. In the past few years the Ohio Theatre has experienced a renaissance with additions of a digital sound system, digital marquee, a new lighting system, showing of first run movies on a nearly weekly basis and bringing more live entertainment to the stage.
