In "Steamed Hams," a short that first aired as part of a 1996 episode of "The Simpsons," principal Seymour Skinner meets his boss at the door with a prophetic greeting: "Ah, Superintendent Chalmers, welcome. I hope you’re prepared for an unforgettable luncheon!"

The two minutes and 48 seconds that follow are legit comedy gold, and Mel Magazine recently gathered everyone from show writers to the fan founder of the Steamed Hams Facebook page to discuss the short's creation in greater detail, which you can read by clicking here.

Among the admissions is show writer Bill Oakley sharing that Chalmers has always been his favorite "Simpsons" character because "he's the only sane one in the town."
