Preview: Char Norman: Forest Remnants
Jackie Mantey, Columbus Alive

In the forest, fiber artist (and dean of faculty at the Columbus College of Art and Design) Char Norman finds the tools for her statues, crafting reliquaries and sculptures out of sticks and carved dead wood. Woven thread in thoughtful color patterns act as connective tissue for broken timber.
See the visual poetry dedicated to Mother Nature before Norman returns many of the natural object sculptures to the locations the original wood was found. The exhibition is free.
