"Cypher: ReQuested," at the Elijah Pierce Gallery at the King Arts Complex, explores the history of hip-hop (through its lyrics and storytelling), and features works by more than a dozen artists. Curated by David Butler, the exhibition is dedicated to the sonic vibes of Tribe Called Quest and local Polar Ent. music artist Satale, and features works by Bryant BeeOne Anthony, Eric Jefferson, Marshall L. Jr. Shorts, Corey Favor, Jamilla Jonelle Kato, Richard Duarte Brown, Okell Lee, Nehemiah P., Cameron Granger, Katerina Hodge and David Michael.
