Performance preview: "What I Did for Love: A Night of Music by Marvin Hamlisch"

Elizabeth Weinstein, Columbus Alive contributor

Composer and conductor Marvin Hamlisch, who died in 2012, was one of only twelve people ever to win Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. His life and legacy will be celebrated in two special performances at the Columbus Museum of Art, featuring members and friends of the cast of Short North Stage's production of A Chorus Line. The show is filled with commentary on the composer's life, and an audience talk-back will follow both performances. A reception with light hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will take place at 6 p.m. before the Thursday, July 30 show.
