The good War on Drugs continues with word that the band's new album, I Don't Live Here Anymore, is due out via Atlantic Records on Oct. 29.

The forthcoming album is the product of a lengthy recording odyssey that stretched over three years and seven studios, including Electric Lady in New York and Los Angeles’ Sound City.

Of course, band leader Adam Granduciel is no stranger to allowing a song to take its needed course, sharing his patience-testing process in a 2014 interview.

"It's hard to explain to somebody why a song is wrong when you've spent a year working on it. It's hard to put that in words. But you just know," he said. "Sometimes I had to scrap [the song] or change it around so drastically that I think it was hard for people around me not to think, 'He's in way too deep.'"

In addition to the new album, the War on Drugs also announced a companion 2022 tour, which includes a Columbus stop at Express Live on February 4. Tickets for all of the dates go on sale on Friday, July 23, at 10 a.m. local time.
