Ice Cube released "It Was a Good Day" as a single on Feb. 23, 1993. But what day was he actually rapping about?

In 2012, blogger Donavan Strain broke down the clues offered in the song (the existence of pagers, the Lakers beating the Supersonics, etc.) in an attempt to pin down the precise day Ice Cube messed around and got a triple double. You can check out his full breakdown of the track here. The end result of Strain's research? The rapper's "Good Day" took place on Jan. 20, 1992.

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of that momentous afternoon, revisit the video and song below.
