Pool roundup: Where to go swimming in (almost) every Columbus neighborhood

With the start of July, warmer and sunnier weather will hopefully come to central Ohio after such a long time of rain. Whether you want to work on your tan, take a dip or take a ride down a water slide, community pools are a classic way to stay cool in the summer.

Olentangy Swim Association

This community gathering place features a large heated pool, diving well with one- and three-meter boards, as well as a wading pool and mushroom waterfall for the little ones.

Dublincommunity pools

Two pools, double the fun! There are two community pools open in Dublin to splash around in. Both have water slides, so what's not to love?

The Worthington Pools

The Worthington Pools also features a Splash Pad with water cannons, fountains and tumbling buckets. Every Tuesday is hot dog night, and members can bring guests for free!

Highlands ParkSwimming Pool

The pool recently expanded to include an additional 100+ lawn chairs to make more room for guests. Westerville also has an indoor pool at another location if you want to stay out of the sun.

WestervilleJayceeSwimming Pool

This facility has four pools, two diving boards and a giant water slide. They also host special events like family movie night and night swims just for adults.

Devon Pool

The heated facility offers lap swimming, recreational swimming, a diving well and a wading pool. There are also shaded areas to take a break from the sun.

Reed Road Water Park

Upper Arlington also has a fun water park that includes a diving well, lap lanes, slides, a current and vortex channel and play features if you're looking for something a little different.

Grandview Heights Municipal Pool

If you're closer to the downtown area, this might be the place for you. Come take a dip in the pool to beat the heat.

Minerva Park Swim Club

The public is welcome to enjoy this pool nestled in the Village of Minerva Park. Sometimes they offer the chance to play tug of war with the Minerva Park Police.

Bexley Pool

The newly renovated facility is welcoming to swimmers of all ages. It hosts an eight-lane competition pool, splash pad, two water slides and more.

The Big Splash

The Big Splash is as fun as its name suggests. The aquatic facility is packed full of activity with interactive water toys, two body slides and two aquatic climbing walls. You know you want to try the climbing walls.

Tuttle Swimming Pool

Come cool off at one of Columbus' many community pools. See the Recreation and Parks website for more pools around town.

Plain Township Aquatic Center

The facility has sun-bathing decks, a tube and body slide, a mushroom umbrella of water sprays and an interactive play area for children.

Hilltop Swim Club

When the 86-year-old pool was put up for sale a few months ago, some thought it wouldn't be open for the season. Luckily the pool's owners found someone to lease and take over running the pool so you can take a dip.

Groveport Aquatic Center

This water park has two water slides, a lazy river, diving boards and special events going on throughout the summer. Hanging out in the lazy river sounds like a good idea on a hot day.

Hilliard East Municipal Pool

This pool offers a bunch of fun events throughout the summer, such as Christmas in July, Shark Week and Doggie Dippin' so your furry friend has a chance to cool off too.

Hilliard Family Aquatic Center

Hilliard also is home to this aquatic center.

If you're looking for a day full of fun and excitement, look no further! Zoombezi Bay offers water slides of all kinds, a thrilling lazy river, wave pool and a play area for the little ones.

In addition to all of the fun swimming activities, this pool has Ice Cream Night with bowls of ice cream for only a dollar every Tuesday evening.

Refuel after a long day of splashing around the pool with Hot Dog Night every Thursday evening. Hot dogs are only $1 and there's usually a DJ spinning some tunes.
