Big stunner out of Hollywood today, as Disney is reportedly buying Lucasfilm for just over $4 billion. More importantly for fans, they're planning to make more "Star Wars" films starting with "Episode 7" in 2015.

In a press release announcing the big deal, "Star Wars" creator George Lucas said, "It's now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I've always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime."

If you saw Lucas prequel trilogy - often lambasted by nostalgic fans - you probably agree it was time for Star Wars to live beyond Lucas. My friends are already bandying about names ot directors we'd like to see helm the next "Star Wars."

My top choices? Joss Whedon, who nailed "The Avengers" this summer, or J.J. Abrams, who has already breathed new life into that other pillar of sci-fi nerdery, Star Trek. What do you think?
