Local music: Central Ohio Folk Festival

The Columbus Folk Music Society hosts its annual Central Ohio Folk Festival this weekend, bringing a full weekend of performances and workshops in the great outdoors. Mind you, this is folk in the traditional sense, not that beardo indie rock with acoustic guitars that’s all the rage. Head west to Battelle-Darby Creek Metro Park and spend your day learning how to play the spoons (yes!), yodel (double-yes!) or step up your finger-picking. Then sit back and enjoy headliners The Ukulele Cowboy Society and Mean Mary in the glow of twilight.
