Preview: Red Hot Chili Peppers at the Schottenstein Center

Chris DeVille, Columbus Alive

After hours of self-obsessed acceptance speeches, past-their-prime performances and tepid tributes, there was release in watching Red Hot Chili Peppers funk their way through a handful of hits to close out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction. During their speeches, Flea and Anthony Kiedis both insisted that their best music is still ahead. Although last year's "I'm With You" belies that notion - it's not exactly "Blood Sugar Sex Magik," you know? - they're still alive and kicking.

Adding luster to Monday's show at the Schott: Swedish synth-pop sensations Little Dragon open.
