Two huge concert announcements this Monday:

Fiona Apple, whose much-hyped "The Idler Wheel..." is out tomorrow, will play the Palace Theatre on Oct. 7. Tickets cost $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50, and they're on sale starting Friday at 10 a.m.

Morrissey, who usually plays the Palace when he comes to Columbus, is jumping to LC Pavilion for an Oct. 24 gig. Tickets for that one go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. for $45.

A few more upcoming shows of note:

Baltimore electronic pop weirdo Dan Deacon is coming to Outland on August 30. Tickets are on sale now for $12 advance, $14 day of show.

Gimmicky but catchy 90s punks The Offspring will play Columbus Commons on July 18. Tickets cost $25 and go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.

Rap titan Yo Gotti headlines Martha's Columbus Summer Jam (not to be confused with the local showcase Summer Jam 614) on July 14. Still trying to track down ticket info on that one.

Indie buzz band Fang Island plays The Basement on July 23; tickets are on sale now for $12.

Death metal heroes Morbid Angel will play Screamin' Willie's on Sept. 23. Tickets go on sale Friday at midnight; price info is not listed yet.

Cult favorite singer-songwriter Todd Snider will headline Ace of Cups on August 15. Tickets are on sale now for $18 advance, $20 day of show.

And if you're a super geek, Distant Worlds: The Music of Final Fantasy is coming to the Palace on August 25. (Not the music of Owen Pallett, but music from the video games.) Tickets range from $35 to a whopping $150, and they go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
