Preview: Chris Robinson Brotherhood at the A&R Music Bar

Chris DeVille, Columbus Alive

When The Black Crowes last came through town two summers ago, they played LC Pavilion's expansive outdoor amphitheatre. So for fans of the band's bluesy roots-rock ramble, the chance to see core member Chris Robinson up close should not be taken lightly.

The singer-guitarist's new solo project Chris Robinson Brotherhood will play Thursday in the close confines of the LC's sister venue A&R Music Bar, where music from the brand-new "Big Moon Ritual" and its upcoming companion, "The Magic Door," is likely to dominate. Don't worry, fanboys: It sounds like The Black Crowes.
