Listen: The Washington Beach Bums - "Hound Dog Blues"

The Washington Beach Bums played the absolute best set at ComFest this year among many other tremendous celebrations. Now the city's most ebullient garage greats are releasing their aptly entitled debut album Party! on Nov. 20 via Spacebuxxx Records with a release party Nov. 16 at Ace of Cups. This is reason to rejoice.

Get psyched with "Hound Dog Blues," our first taste of the impending opus, in which (CORRECTION!) Joey Pizza laments the unshakable scent he acquired by working at a certain 24-hour Campus eatery:"I got laid off/ Couldn't find a good job/ Now I serve pizza made by a dog." Bum-in-chief Pretty Frank Dynamite later shows up to howl his lungs out too. The narrative rides atop adrenalizing party rock that plays likeAndrew W.K. meets Dinosaur Jr. meets Blink-182. (And I mean that last reference as a compliment because who doesn't love this song?)

It's a Halloween miracle. Have a listen below.
