Concert preview: Mr. Twin Sister rebounds from difficult year with self-titled album

Andy Downing, Columbus Alive

The months leading up to the 2014 release of the self-titled Mr. Twin Sister album were trying ones for the band. Singer Andrea Estella was diagnosed with MS, the group parted ways with its label, Domino, and, most traumatically, the bandmates survived a mid-tour van wreck that left all of them hospitalized and nursing various injuries. Arriving amidst this chaos, the album's chill, nighttime vibe is almost surprising, and songs like "Rude Boy" and the swooning "Blush" speak to calmer times.

Moon King and Fine Animal open the show.
