Concert preview: Columbus readies for Bastille day with free show from British pop-rockers

Andy Downing, Columbus Alive

Bastille Day is nigh - at least here in Columbus. British pop-rock band Bastille, which initially launched in 2010 as a solo project for singer-songwriter Dan Smith, is scheduled to perform a free concert at Columbus Commons on Tuesday, July 28. The outdoor setting should be familiar to the crew, which has been hitting the summer festival circuit in support of its 2013 debut Bad Blood. Capacity is limited, and the first 3,000 attendees will be granted access to a private viewing area.
