Concert preview: Texas punks Radioactivity take a darker turn with Silent Kill
Andy Downing, Columbus Alive

Silent Kill, the sophomore long-player from the Texas punks, ventures into dark territory, inspired in part by singer Jeff Burke's experiences living in Japan during a 2011 earthquake that left scores dead and caused the meltdown of the Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Plant. "It's dark now/ And I feel afraid," he sings on the title track. Even so, the music never cowers, and jittery songs like "Silent" and "I Know" pogo and vibrate with nervous energy.
Pretty Pretty, Sega Genocide and Chomp open the show.
