Don't worry, though. The Philadelphia indie-rock quintet has plenty of shows under its belt, so onstage chemistry and song arrangements shouldn't be a problem when Hop Along takes the stage at Skully's tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 8).

Quinlan, who also released a solo record, Likewise, last year, has the superhuman ability to turn dense, literary lyrics into catchy, cathartic pop hooks, which should translate well onstage. As a preview, check out the video for "Somewhere a Judge," my favorite Hop Along song.
