Chance can do anything

In a progression that was inevitable, given that Jimmy Fallon's version of "The Tonight Show" is pretty much a game show already, the former SNL cast member is hosting a new NBC TV series called "That's My Jam," described as "an hourlong music and comedy variety game show" inspired by the karaoke-style games Fallon plays with his "Tonight Show" guests.

I don't know if I would care about that show were it not for a clip that began circulating over the weekend featuring Chance the Rapper doing an impromptu bro-country version of Nelly's "Hot in Herre" and absolutely nailing it — the drawl, the cadence, everything. By the end of it, Chance will make you believe Nelly got it all wrong.

"That's My Jam" premieres tonight (Monday, Jan. 3) at 9 p.m. on NBC.
