I thought it was possible Hey What, the excellent, boundary-pushing 2021 record from long-running indie-rock band Low, would fly under the radar. The album took an even bigger leap into the realms of noise and shoegaze, often setting the voices of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker‎ afloat in a sea of digital fuzz.

I need not have worried. Hey What (Sub Pop) ended up on countless Best of 2021 lists and even got a Grammy nod.

Today, the Duluth, Minnesota band debuted the video for "I Can Wait," a pulsating song that ends with the lines, "Just get me out of thе way/Somebody else takе the stage." Fittingly, Sparhawk and Parker opted not to appear in the video directed by Manuel Aragon. Instead, five characters sing along before their lives intersect over ice cream.
