What are you wearing: Tanisha Richardson

Jackie Mantey, Columbus Alive

Flower clip: From Forever 21

Earrings: From Kohl's. "I always wear earrings and they're always only hoops. Hoops are easy. Anytime I wear other kinds of earrings I feel like you can't see them past my hair."

Lipstick: Russian Red by MAC

Shoes: From DSW. "They're wooden and not the most comfortable. These are car-to-destination-only heels."

Ring: From the now-shuttered Byzantium formerly in the Short North. "That was my favorite place. This ring is supposed to ward off vampires or something. Something about the stone and the symbol. So far, so good."

Clutch: Found on eBay

Dress: $12 from Rag-O-Rama. "I love wearing dresses. They're nice when you've got big hips. I also love retro and vintage. I'm not much of a bargain shopper, so when I find a deal it's a big bonus."

Nails: "My nails are always red. I like Maybelline polish. Red is classic. It's a little bit of class, a little bit of trash. It's universal."

Hair: Born Blonde by L'Oreal. "People absolutely recognize me by my hair, which I don't do anything to other than dye it… Some people have called me the black Marilyn Monroe. I love her. She was quiet. She was very beautiful. She had a certain unique kind of beauty."

Tattoos: By Short North Tattoo. On her forearm, the fish represent her astrological sign; the Matthew scripture is her favorite (it reads: "Know that I am with you always, even until the end of time"); and the butterflies remind her "that we are all constantly changing, hopefully for the better."

Chakra bracelet: "This keeps my chakras in balance. I've been wearing it for years and never take it off."

Sun and moon bracelet: From Ujamaa on Livingston Avenue. "I'm a Pisces. We are dreamers."

Open Hearts bracelet: From Kay Jewelers
