Staff Pick: Owls!

There's a very good reason Metro Parks staff added an exclamation point to the name of this mile-long hike. Secretive, graceful and once considered wisest among the animal legions, owls are a treat to behold. Mark my words: You'll never forget the first time you see one in the wild.
That could be Sunday, when naturalists will call to Glacier Ridge's resident barred owls in hopes of spotting a few.
Winds can make this Plain City park about 15 degrees colder than your neighborhood, so dress extra warmly. Meet at the picnic shelter.
