R. Kelly ditches raunchy for romantic on 'Love Letter'

R. Kelly's Untitled, released just about a year ago, was a sweaty, unceasing anthem about sex. It was clear that Kelly enjoyed sex: all night long, in the morning, over text, in the bedroom, with DJs, with club girls, etc. He boasted about his insatiable sexual appetite for 14 straight songs. As a concept record, Untitled was unparalleled in terms of theme and consistency.
Love Letter, though, finds Kels with a tender side, crooning to the women who truly appreciate him and stand by his side. Even though he seems a little clumsy and constrained by theme, he again proves himself to be among the best R&B voices in history.
