Columbus Clippers hit five home runs to beat Omaha Storm Chasers 10-7

Recap: The Clippers hit five home runs, including three in a seven-run eighth inning. Homering for Columbus were Bobby Bradley, Gabriel Arias, Daniel Johnson, Owen Miller and Ryan Lavarnway. Anthony Gose (1-0) pitched the eighth to get the win, and Blake Parker collected his third save. The Clippers trailed 5-3 entering the eighth, and Oscar Mercado led off with a double before Johnson's homer. Miller followed with another homer for a 6-5 lead. Bradley then walked and moved to third on a single by Arias. After Bradley Zimmer walked, Lavarnway hit a grand slam for a 10-5 lead. Omaha scored two in the eighth.

Who's hot?: Miller played third base and went 3-for-4 to raise his batting average to .500 and his OPS to 1.261.

Notable: Bradley and Lavarnway are tied with the team lead with three home runs. ... The Clippers scored all seven eighth-inning runs off Collin Snider (0-1), whose ERA is now 36.00.
